Back Office & Data Entry Specialist (Travel Industry)

Location : Remote

Working Hours: 12pm - 4pm or 1pm - 5pm AUS time

Weekly Hours: Approximately 20 hours per week, with potential for increase

Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Back Office & Data Entry Specialist to support our travel operations. This role involves managing Travelport queues, performing data entry in Cross Check Travel, and handling hotel bookings through Expedia and car transfers via Get Picked Up. This is a customer-facing role, so exceptional English communication skills are essential, along with a background in the travel industry and customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

* Data entry and file management in Cross Check Travel back office system.

* Manage Travelport queues and utilize other booking tools as needed.

* Process hotel reservations on Expedia and arrange car transfers via Get Picked Up.

* Assist with travel accounting, file management, and various supplier booking engines.

* Communicate professionally with Australian clients by phone and email, providing excellent customer service.

* Use Gmail, Google Suite, and CRM tools (Salesmate, Salesforce, Zoho, or similar) for client and data management.

Essential Qualifications & Skills:

- Travel Industry Experience: Strong background in travel operations, systems, and client service.

- Customer Service Experience: Proven experience in handling customer inquiries and bookings.

- Technical Skills:

*Familiarity with Travelport Reservation System (or similar GDS experience such as Amadeus) – preferred but not essential.

*Cross Check Travel back office system.

*Experience with Expedia, Get Picked Up, and various supplier booking engines.

*Proficiency in CRM systems (Salesmate, Salesforce, Zoho, etc.).

*Proficiency in Gmail & Google Suite.

*Canva skills – advantage.

- Attention to Detail: Ability to accurately enter data, manage files, and track bookings.

- Strong English Communication Skills: Fluent in English, both written and verbal, for effective communication with Australian clients.

- Interpersonal Skills: Friendly, easy to get along with, and committed to providing positive client experiences.

- Problem-Solving: Resourceful and proactive in addressing challenges.

- Interest in Accounting & Data Entry: Ability to manage accounting tasks and detailed data entry.

Preferred Skills:

*Familiarity with Itinerary Builders.

*Previous experience with GDS systems like Galileo (preferred).

*Strong skills in Canva for visual content creation.
